The Fishers Freight compete in the IFL (Indoor Football League) at the brand new Fishers Event Center. They kicked off their inaugural season on April 4, 2024. The team will play eight (8) regular season games at home and 16 games total every regular season.
The Fishers Freight is owned by Indiana Football Club LLC with majority owner Jim Hallett, also the owner of Indiana Hockey Club, the group overseeing and managing the Indy Fuel of the ECHL.
Dixie Wooten is the current and inaugural head coach of the Fishers Freight. Prior to joining the Freight, Wooten was the Head Coach of the Iowa Barnstormers from 2017-19 where he won back-to-back Coach of the Year Awards and led them to a championship in 2018. From 2-21-22, Wooten was the Head Coach and General Manager for the Tuscon Sugar Skulls. After that, he became the Offensive Coordinator for the Bay Area Panthers, where he was named Assistant Coach of the Year and the team won a championship.
The Indoor Football League is the highest level of professional indoor football in the United States. The IFL is America's longest continuously-running indoor football league and the second-longest professional football league in the U.S., after only the National Football League. The IFL was founded in 2009 and is in its 17th consecutive season of play in 2025.
