Freight Sign Aaron Jackson to First Contract in Team History

FISHERS - The Freight announced the signing of Aaron Jackson, the first player to sign with the team in franchise history.

In 2024, Jackson earned himself Second Team All-IFL honors at Defensive Back with the Duke City Gladiators. He finished inside the top 10 in solo, assisted, and total tackles on the season, finishing with 85.5 total tackles and beating out IFL Championship Game MVP, Davontae Merriweather, for 7th most total tackles in the league. Along with his tackling numbers, Jackson had 8.5 tackles for loss and one interception.

Jackson hails from Houston, TX and played his college ball at Texas A&M Kingsville where he saw time at Defensive Back and also as a returner on special teams. He was efficient with his touches averaging over 25 kick return yards per game and 15 yards per punt return.

"He's a veteran that brings top tier talent to our defense," said Head Coach Dixie Wooten. "He can cover, hit, and he brings veteran leadership to help us establish who we'll be early on."

This will be Jackson's third season in the Indoor Football League.
